COLONIE- James (Agostino Pagnazzo) Page passed away peacefully on March 14, 2017.
James was born on March 31, 1921 son of the late Umberto and Maria (Sardonia) Pagnazzo.
At the age of 2, James' mother passed away at which time he was raised at St. Joseph's Infant Home in Troy and later the LaSalle home for boys. He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving his country as a medic in the 106 Infantry Unit for 56 months during WWII in the South Pacific.
James was a self-employed plumber as well as a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local #7 for 68 years.
James was predeceased by his beloved wife Gertrude M. Page; daughter, Patricia Travison; great-grandson, Agostino "AJ" and his brothers, Alexander and Charles.
James is survived by his grandchildren, Kendra (Michael) Stone, Daniel (Sherry) Travison, Mark (Patty) Travison, Dave (Ann) Travison, Donna (Randal) Booth, Bonnie (Larry) Ackison; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Koren, Matthew, Sara, Matthew, Tracey, Cheryl, Tyler, Dylan, Kaylen, Danielle, Garrett and Lauren and great-great grandchildren, Aiden, Jonathon, Alexis, Nellie, Tristan; niece, Lorraine O'Neil and many friends.
James wishes to acknowledge his close friends, Joyce and Warren Lavery, Gabriella Chimelewski, Fran and Tom Ralph, Peter Rielly, Gloria Filetti, Gert and the late John Bologna, Mike and Dave Warzek for all of their kindness and help extended to him. Last but not least James wishes to thank his granddaughter, Donna for everything she has done for him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10AM at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Colonie NY 12205. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 4-6pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
