We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of James Michael Piscitelli, age 70. Jim died at Samaritan Hospital of heart failure. He was a dedicated son and brother, loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather.
After graduating from SUNY Albany in 1973, Jim worked for General Electric for over 40 years working his way up to the position of Finance Manager. He traveled extensively for business, with his career taking him to such places as South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, France, England and Italy. The place he loved most was being home with his family. However, he also loved to come home and surprise everyone with his latest family vacation plans. We all have wonderful memories of trips to Disney World, beach vacations, camping throughout the Northeast, and skiing each winter.
After retiring, he and his wife made several trips to wine country, visiting Napa and Sonoma Valley, on one trip to Sonoma Valley they traveled by train to take in the splendor of the Rocky Mountains on the way. In recent years Jim also loved spending time with his grandson whether it was cheering him on at a t-ball game or playing a game of uno.
Jim leaves behind, his beloved wife, Deborah; sons, James and Michael; daughter, Mary Slocum (Brett), as well as beloved grandson, AJ.
