James F. Quick

Clifton Park- James F. Quick, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Born in Schenectady, Jim was the son of the late Newton and Helen Quick. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara (Barbuto) Quick.

Jim was a member of Executive Board of Local 259 GCIU before becoming President retiring after six years. He was also an instructor in the education department of Local 259. He was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed going out to dinner with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his children; Michael Quick, Renee Jerry and James Quick (Tracy). He is also survived by his grandchildren, April Marie, Christopher, Johnathan David "JD", Nicholas and Asher West. Jim will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and close friends.

He is predeceased by his siblings; Shirley and Charles.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Jim's name.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 9am-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189. A memorial service will begin at 11am at the funeral home.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
