James A. Rafferty

James A. Rafferty, 84, husband of Patricia Burnap Rafferty of Albany, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, January 2, 2023.
Born January 30, 1938, in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred E. Rafferty.
James graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1956 and served in the Marine Corp. Reserves from 1956-1962. He was employed at Tobin First Prize for 25 years and retired from TNT Red Star Express. He was a proud truck driver for 32 years and loved driving. James enjoyed many years of camping in Vermont and always looked forward to his winters in Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia, and their three sons, James of Cobleskill, Michael (Laurie) of Buskirk, and Sean (Joy) of Latham. James was extremely proud of his eight grandchildren, Crystal, Bryan, Ryan, Matthew, Shannon, Adam, Michelle, & Brendan. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren.
Friends and Family are invited to attend visitation on Saturday January 7, 2022 from 11am to 2pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY, 12205.
