New Scotland – James E. "Bubbie" Salisbury, 71, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at his residence. Born in Albany on April 8, 1943, he is the son of the late James and Minnie Salisbury.
James attended Voorheesville High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Schultz Construction and John Bayley, before retiring in 2004 as an Operating Engineer Master Mechanic. James enjoyed building and restoring old cars, street rods and lawn mower racers. His favorite NASCAR drivers were Edwards #99 and Biffle #16.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years Karen Salisbury; his sister Barb (Vic) Hansen of Clarksville; his brothers, Larry (Dawn) Salisbury and Frank (Karen) Salisbury of Voorheesville; his son, James Tallman of Westerlo; his mother-in-law Gyneth Armstrong; brother-in-law, Bill Armstrong; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Armstrong all whom reside in Westville, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Connie Salisbury.

Calling hours for James will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. on Saturday July 12th from 12 – 2 p.m.
