James A. Strada, 49, passed away Thursday June 13, 2024 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Born September 20, 1974 in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of John T. and Andrea J. Strada of Niskayuna.
James attended Calvary Academy in Springfield, IL and Northshore High School in Slidell, LA before completing high school at Niskayuna High School. He studied at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL prior to studying automotive technology at Hudson Valley Community College. James was employed as an Automotive Technician at various Nissan, Toyota, and Infinity dealerships in the Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga area. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing on Lake Champlain and working on “the boat”.
He is survived by his parents John and Andrea Strada of Niskayuna, his brothers John Strada of Richmond, KY and Greg Strada of Waterford, NY, and his grandmother Ida Greene of Wallingford, CT. He is also survived by numerous uncles and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Thursday June 20 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with a service to begin at 11:00 AM at New Comer Cremations and Funeral, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
