James T. Finney

Guilderland- James T. Finney, passed away on February 18, 2016 at his home. He was 35 years old.
The son of James and Mary (Towse) Finney, Jim was born on December 7, 1980 in Fulton, NY. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany. He married Gabrielle Falk on October 26, 2013 in Utica, NY.
Jim was an avid music fan and a talented bass player. He enjoyed working with and fixing computers. There was rarely a time he was not able to fix a problem. He loved his cats, Duncan and Tessa and they will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by his wife, Gabrielle Finney; his sister Lydia Finney and spouse; his brother William Finney, PhD. and his wife Min; his two nephews Johnny and Robbie.
Visitation will be from 2 pm to 5 pm on Thursday, February 25 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 26 at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd, Schenectady, NY 12303. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to the Guilderland Town Hall, 5209 Western Turnpike, Altamont, NY 12009, attn: Guilderland Animal Shelter.
