James T. Murphy

GUILDERLAND – James T. Murphy, 48, passed away on Sunday, March 01, 2009. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late George and Elisa Murphy. Jim was a resident of Guilderland for all of his life. He was formerly employed with Atlantic Cement in Ravena. Jim is the beloved brother of George (Ginger) Murphy of Guilderland, Patricia (Patrick) Shaffer of Schenectady and Michael (Sandra) Murphy of Guilderland. He is the cherished uncle of Brian (Karen) Shaffer, Kelly Shaffer, Christopher (Erin) Murphy, Kristen Murphy and Timothy Murphy. He is the great-uncle of Ian and Elise Shaffer. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Margaret Mary Church, Albany at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
