Rotterdam-James T. Schrom, 56, of Rotterdam, NY, passed away at Ellis Hospital on October 10, 2014.
Jim was born on September 4th, 1958, to the late Oran and Arlene Schrom and graduated from Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons High School. For the last 22 years, he worked at Total Tool in Castleton-on-Hudson as a sales representative where he was considered by his co-workers and clients as an honest, hard working and charismatic individual. Jim was also a wonderful husband and father, and is survived by his loving wife Sherryl and his sons, Michael and Nicholas. In addition to his passion for fishing, cars, riding his motorcycle, and vacationing with his family in Wildwood NJ and Cedar Point OH, he was a little league baseball coach for his sons and a fan of the Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and the New York Rangers hockey team. "Mepa" will be missed by his cherished grandchildren, Camren and Cassidy Schrom. He is also survived by his cousins: Jeff, Carmela, Mark, and Ana Johnson, and Shelly and Robert Turgeon Jr, who all reside in California. He will be deeply missed by friends and family. The family wishes to thank the medical staff at Albany Medical Center and Ellis Hospital.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, on Thursday, October 16th, 2014, from 3:00pm- 8:00pm, with a mass of Christian burial held at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304, on Friday, October 17th, 2014, at 9:00am.
