James "Jamie" Murray, 43, of Hudson Street,Troy peacefully passed away on March 21, 2012 at his home.
Born October 13, 1968 in Albany. He was the son of the late Edward T. Mayer, and Willard J. (stepfather) and Kevin (Bellinger) LaMont of Schoharie. Was a life-long resident of Albany County, attending and graduating from Christian Brothers Academy in 1987.
Jim was retired from CDTA Transportion where he worked as a bus driver. He also volunteered for many years as a member of the Colonie EMS. He loved being of service to his commuity, spending time in the country and with his family.
James was preceded by his Father who died prior to his birth.
He is survived by his domestic partner Doreen Vrooman of ten + years. A daughter Theresa Christine(Anthony) and grandson Cole Michael Ritter of Clifton Park; one brother Maurise (Tammie) LaMont of Middleburgh. Two sister's Robin (Mitchell LaMere) Mayer of Canton, and Dayna (Andrew Warner) LaMont of Middleburgh, Two Aunts, Imelda Reed and Wendy Beacraft, one Uncle Ron Bellinger; six nephews, Garrett Chichester, JR, Justin, and Kevin Dudley, Shane and Dekota LaMont; three neices, Brittany Chicheser, Tashina LaMont, and Michaela Dudley; and one great niece Icesis Dawson.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday at New Corner Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
