James W. Blaauboer

MALTA – James W. Blaauboer, 76, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at home with family by his side. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Ida (Bernholtz) and Arian "Harry" Blaauboer.

Jim was Vice President of Boyd Printing Company, where he was employed for 42 years. He was a member of Colonie Elks #2192, Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club of Sarasota, Fla, and Albany County Fish and Game Club. Jim enjoyed golf, boating, reading, carpentry and wintering in Sarasota, Fl. He was always available to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Along with his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother, Edward Blaauboer.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Blaauboer; children Patricia (William) Keating of Easton, Michael J. (Annette) Blaauboer of Latham, and Joseph Blaauboer of Saratoga Lake; grandchildren Kristen and Michael P. Blaauboer of Latham, and siblings Henry (Vinci) Blaauboer and Joan Blaauboer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Memorial Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 or Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in Jim's name.
