SCHENECTADY- James Wayne Oxford, 70, of Schenectady, passed away on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014.
Born to the late William and Catherine Oxford, on October 6th, 1945, James was born in Boston, MA, and raised in Dawson, GA.
James is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, his son Michael Fazzone, his grandchildren; Rachel, and Andrew, his great-grandchild, Alexandra, his sisters-in-law; Carmen (Royal) Kingsley, Eleanor (Charles) Foshee, and Frances Gallo (Leon), and a host of friends and family.
He was a board member of Empire state Areosciences Museum, a voter registration worker, and former President of the Mont Pleasant Action Coalition. James was a personal friend to all, a modest ex-Navy man and DOD officer who loved to talk about politics and community affairs. He leaves his best pals; Paulie the Parrot, Mr. Oliver, his Yorkshire terrier, and Abbigail, his Brussels Griffon.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St Adalbert Catholic Church, 550 Lansing St, Schenectady, on November 8 at 10:00am.
