James Earl Wiggins Jr. aka "Hook", 81, passed away and entered into his final rest on Monday, August 21, 2023, 12:00 am at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, NY
James was born May 13, 1942, in Kinston, NC to the Late James E. and Frances Wiggins.
Hook graduated from Adkin Senior High School, Kinston, NC in 1961, and then served in the the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Hook later worked 30 years at CDTA as a bus operator. In Hook's spare time he was a devout member of Masons, Elks, Moose and Shriner's Club.
Hook is survived by his daughter Lawan Wiggins-Neal, Boston,MA; his sons Farone Earl Wiggins, Troy, NY and Fernando Wiggins, Roanoke,VA; his love and companion of 37 years Jean Corbitt, Troy,NY; He foster fathered several other children;16 grandchildren; 8 greatgrandchildren; sister Mary K. Franks; Kinston,NC; 2 nieces; 3 nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his son Norman E. Wiggins, Albany,NY and a sister Ellen Wiggins Skinner, Philadelphia,PA
