Middleburgh- Zeh, Jan Francis, 81, passed away on March 5, 2023. Jan was born on January 2, 1942 to the late Edwin B. Zeh and Evelyn E. (Baker) Zeh in Utica, NY.
Jan attended construction technology courses at Farmingdale State College before starting a long career with the NYS Department of Transportation. Jan shared his talents with the Department as a, field project inspection expert, then designer and draftsperson for over 30 years. In retirement, Jan expanded his local dirt track racing hobby and enthusiasm for classic automobiles and was a lifelong fan of the Chevrolet brand. Jan was an avid woodworker and model train hobbyist; he spent many hours working on projects in his workshop. Jan was a loyal member of the Noah Lodge Number 754, Altamont, of the Free and Accepted Masons of NY for 55 years.
Jan is predeceased, by his brother Bruce Zeh.
Jan is survived by his children Gary (Sandra) Zeh of NY, Peter (Brenda) Zeh of Venice, FL, Christopher Zeh of Voorheesville, NY, Jennifer Zeh of Delmar, NY, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews.
Private services for family will be held in the spring. Donations in Jan's name may be made to the Masonic Charitable Foundation, c/o Masonic Temple Noah Lodge No. 754,138 Maple Avenue, Altamont, NY 12009
