Jane A. Casey, 81, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2015 at Albany Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born on July 31, 1933, Latham, NY to the late Robert and Ada (Feiden) Hellwig. She was born in the house that she grew up in.
Jane worked for New York State DMV in Albany for many years, retiring 20 years ago. She lived for her family and truly enjoyed life to the fullest.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Albert Casey; her brothers and sisters; Mabel Bender, Ethel Szesnat, Robert Hellwig, and Frank Hellwig and her son-in-law George Hubbard.
Jane is survived by her loving daughter, Gloria J. Hubbard; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul Shuhart) Prusky and John Hubbard. She is the adored great grandmother "Softy"of Abby, Maddie Prusky and Tyler and Brianna Shuhart.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of ones choice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015, 11:00 am at New Comer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 4:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
