Jane Q. Carey

Carey, Jane Quellmalz, age 69, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, May 28, 2021. Jane was born in Albany to the late Marion (Lynch) and Henry Quellmalz. She was predeceased by her husband John T. (Jack) and her sister, Susan H. Quellmalz.

She is survived by her sister, Lynn Quellmalz (Carl) Johnson; her nephew Marcus (Cathy) Johnson; their daughters Abby and Millie; her niece, Kate Johnson (Clayton) Koonce; their sons, Clayton and Sawyer. Her niece Jessica (Drew) Daigle, their daughter Lauren; and Justin Burrows and Ashley Burrows Winn. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Jaqui (Maurice) Carey Ward, their children, Jalen and Emma; Brian (Kathleen) Carey, their son Connor. She is also survived by several cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.

Per Jane's wishes there will be no services. Her urn is interred in the mausoleum of Albany Rural Cemetery. In memory of Jane, please gather together as you can and have a cocktail to honor her memories. Toast and laugh because we sure did a lot of that!
