Jane E. Hofnagel

ALBANY – Jane E. Hofnagel, 85, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012. Born in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of the late Wilton P. and Mildred M. Webb. Mrs. Hofnagel had lived in Albany for most of her life. She was very active with The First Church in Albany where she was a long time member. Jane enjoyed camping, traveling, quilting and cooking for her family.

She is the beloved wife of sixty-one years to Matthew L. Hofnagel. Jane is the devoted mother of Matthew J. (Anne) Hofnagel of Albany and Paul E. (Angela) Hofnagel of Carey, NC. She is the loving sister of Robert (Theresa) Webb of Schenectady. Jane is the cherished grandmother of Christine (Marshall), Matthew T., Peter and Rachel, Debbie Singh and the aunt of Alan, Bruce and Scott Webb. Also surviving are many dear and close friends.


Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, April 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at The First Church in Albany, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to The First Church in Albany, 110 North Pearl St., Albany, NY 12207 in memory of Jane E. Hofnagel.
