Jane E. Lemorta

COLONIE, NY – Jane E. LeMorta, 92, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve Lombardo. She has resided in Colonie for over 30 years. Jane is the beloved wife of the late Anthony LeMorta. She is the devoted mother of Mary VanGelder of Florida, Genevieve A. LeMorta-Kane (Joseph) of Colonie and the late Carmen LeMorta. She is the loving sister of Dominick Lombardo, Carmella "Mollie" Lang, Anne Lombardo, Joseph Lombardo, Jr. and the late Rose Burns, Vincent Lombardo, Mary Dunn and Anthony P. Lombardo. Jane is the former mother-in-law of Sally Bailey. She is the cherished grandmother of Genevieve, Anthony, Celine, Monique, Noel, Charles, Robin and the late Michael. Also surviving are thirteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's-St. Ann's Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
