Jane S. Fearnside

Albany- Jane S. Fearnside, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Florence S. Slaven of Philadelphia, PA. Jane is also predeceased by her husband, Earl R. Fearnside, Jr.
Jane was well known in the community, having served as a professional social worker with Albany County. She previously worked as a kindergarten teacher at the "Green House" of St. Vincent's School in Albany and later worked for the American Red Cross. Jane was dedicated to her family, her faith and her community throughout her life.
Jane is survived by her children, Earl R. Fearnside III, Richard F. Fearnside and Bonnie A. Paige. In addition to her children Jane is survived by her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her daughter Joan R. O'Rourke.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to St. Vincent De Paul Church, 900 Madison Avenue, Albany, New York 12208.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, the corner of Ontario and Yates, Albany, New York . Burial will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY.
