WESTMERE- Jane G. Neville, age 84, of Westmere, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening at Guilderland Center Nursing Home. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen Merklin Golden. She was raised in McKownville and moved to Westmere where she lived for 56 years. She spent the majority of her life raising her four children, volunteering for community service and was an active member of Christ the King Church. She loved the beach, knitting, cooking, sewing, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy N. Carlson; three sons, Richard D., James M. and William J. Neville; two granddaughters and five grandsons. She was the wife of the late Richard Formel Neville and the sister of the late Elaine Nashholds and Walter Golden.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at 4:30 for service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Westmere. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are suggested to Guilderland Center Nursing Home, 428 Rt. 146, Guilderland Center, NY 12085 in memory of Jane G. Neville.
