Jane Lizzi

GUILDERLAND-Jane Lizzi, 91, of Guilderland, passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2006 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home after a brief illness. She was born in Herkimer and was the daughter of the late Francesco and Filomena Macrina.
Jane was a loving wife, caring mother and a dear friend to many. She celebrated life and basked in the delight of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane enjoyed her time conquering seek and find puzzles.
She was predeceased in 1994 by her beloved husband of fifty seven years, Dominic Lizzi. Jane is the beloved mother of Patricia Jones of Guilderland. Cherished grandmother of Debbie (Mark) Savoca and Bob (Peggy) Jones. Great grandmother of Paul and Rachel Savoca. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Jane's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff on the red unit of Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home for all of their care and kindness. Special thanks to Roz for her gentle guidance.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Christ the King Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at 4:30 for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are suggested to Christ the King Church Building Fund, 20 Sumpter Ave. Albany NY 12203 in memory of Jane Lizzi.
