ALBANY, NY – Jane Rheingold of Albany, passed away on December 15, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. She was born on May 16, 1919 in Albany, and was the daughter of the late Julius and Rose Bolaski. Mrs. Rheingold resided in Albany for all of her life. Jane retired in 1988 after 16 years of service for the State University of New York in Albany. Jane was the widow of Moe Rheingold. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Bradwell, Stella Marley, Mary Poleto, Anna Bolaski and her brothers, James, Leo, Albion and Julius Bolaski. Mrs. Rheingold is survived by her children, Michael J. Rheingold of Albany, and Richard R. Rheingold and his wife, Nancy of Schenectady. She is the grandmother of Christina R. Rheingold of Albany and Timothy A. Rheingold and his wife, Tracey of Latham. She is the great-grandmother of Tessa Rheingold. Also surviving is her sister, Genevieve C. Sidoti of Albany and her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Bolaski of Cohoes. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive. Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12206 in memory of Jane Rheingold.
