Jane Sexton

Hudson Falls- Jane (Janey) L. Sexton, 79, passed away on September 10, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. She departed peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. 

Born on February 7, 1945, in Cocoa, Florida, to Hollis and Louise Sexton, she moved later in life to upstate NY, most recently Hudson Falls.

Often described by others as funny, eccentric, and quite a character, Janey would bring humor into any conversation in clever ways. She touched the lives of those around her with her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing the challenges of her illness, she remained an example of hope and inspiration to all who knew her.

Janey was predeceased by her mother, Louise Sexton, her father, Hollis Sexton, her daughter, Melissa Lear, and her beloved dog, Mason.

Janey is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Christopher) Paradis, her son, Jerel (Rachel) Lear, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
