Schenectady- Janet C. Crounse, 79, passed away May 3rd 2015 after a brief illness with her family by her side. Janet was the daughter of the late George and Ellen Horstman. Janet is predeceased by her husband Joseph Crounse.
Janet was full of life and had many passions. She was a lover of all animals especially cats and horses. She was a huge NASCAR fan as well as a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved camping and having campfires but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Janet is survived by her children; David (Kathy) Crounse of Daytona Beach, FL , Joseph (Debra) Crounse of Schenectady , Charlene (Lance) Freiberger of Gansevoort, and Tracie Crounse of Schenectady. Janet is also survived by her sister Ruth (Frank) Wells of Argyle, NY. Janet will be missed by her five grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral , 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 on May 6th 2015 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday May 7th 2015 at 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie,NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection. A check may be made out to Pet Connection and sent to 341 Northern Blvd. Albany, NY 12204.
