Janet M. Clark

ALBANY – Janet M. Clark, 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Janet was born on June 5, 1944 in Troy and was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Irene A. (Besner) Jones. She was a childcare provider for many years in the Capital District. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, watching Lifetime TV and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her lifetime companion of 35 years, Clarence Landy Jr.; her children, Jeannette M. Jones, Lawrence A. Clark III, Tia M. Payne (Coley), Michelle Turner (Alfred), Jason T. Adams and Lorinda A. Thomas (Jamil); her sister, Sheila J. McRae; twenty-five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence A. Clark Jr., her sister, Shirley Washington and her brothers, Robert Besner and Alfred C. Jones.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Shaffer from New York Oncology Hematology and Shirley and The Community Hospice of Albany for their care and comfort given to Janet.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment Graceland Cemetery.
