ALBANY – Janet M. Smith, 68, beloved friend of Patricia Thomas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 11th at home with her loving family by her side.
She was born on September 13, 1945 to the late Clifford and Amelia Smith. Janet was a graduate of the Albany Public School System, Schenectady County Community College and the former Albany Business College. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of Janet's life will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church, 26 Wilson Ave., Albany on Saturday March 15. Viewing will be from 9 am to 11 am on Saturday with service immediately following at 11:00.
Burial will follow the service at the Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands. Those wishing to remember Janet in a special way, may send a donation to Macedonia Baptist Church.
