COLONIE - Janet M. Vilchinsky , 63, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Janet was born on February 22, 1951 in Rahway, NJ and was the daughter of the late George and Janet (Kalligan) Armour. Janet was the devoted wife to the late David J. Vilchinsky, he passed away on November 4, 2008 . They were married 37 years.
Janet enjoyed knitting and cooking, spending time at her summer home in Oneonta but most especially spending time with her family and friends. She was a strong supporter of the American Cancer Society and the Renegade Pigs Motorcycle Club.
Janet is survived by her son, Christian M. (Deanna Perotti) Vilchinsky; her daughter, Eva M. (Terence Goyer) Vilchinsky; her brother, James (Judith) Armour, her nephews and nieces, Patrick, Kevin, Kelly, Katie, John, Ryan and Jordan and several great nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Sunday November 9, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday November 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 or St. Peter's Hospital Foundation, 319 South Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Janet.
