Janet N. Kingsland

NISKAYUNA - Janet "Jan" N. Kingsland, 72, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, AZ, surrounded by her loving family.
Jan was born on January 29, 1938 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late George and Ola (Johnson) Stanton. She was a secretary for IUE for General Electric for many years before retiring. She enjoyed camping, traveling, sewing, crocheting, being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Niskayuna.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Henry C. Kingsland, Sr.; her sons, William H. (Kathleen) Kingsland of Phoenix, AZ, David H. Kingsland of Schenectady and Henry C. (Wendy) Kingsland of Delanson; her daughters, Laurie N. Pelton and Sally A. Kingsland, both of Schenectady and Karin F. (Joseph) Carvill of Colonie; her 12 grandchildren, David, Eric, Kimberly, Nicole, Sean, Brittany, Sarah, Cory, Matthew, William, Seth, and Timothy; her six great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Nathan, Emma, Dylan, Nevaeh, and Alexis; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Reggie W. Pelton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
