Janet Coe Schlansker, 103, of Schenectady, passed away on May 16, 2022 at Kingsway Arms.
She was born in Amsterdam on October 11, 1918 to the late George and Ethel Hughes.
Following high school she enrolled in the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing and received her RN certificate. During her nursing career she worked in the OR and later ran the hematology unit until her marriage in 1943. After marriage she raised a family and later worked in her husband's dental practice.
She was predeceased by her son Paul, her husband William P. and her son William C.
Janet is survived by her loving children James Schlansker, Joan Wallis and Richard Schlansker, grandchildren Kristen, Sarah, Jenny, Laura, Jessica, Gretchen, Julia, Hana, William and Rebecca and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
