Janice Landrigan

d. September 20, 2007

COLONIE - Janice M. Landrigan, 69, died peacefully Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Albany, on May 27, 1938, Janice was the daughter of the late O. Richard Hall and Virginia M. Hall. She is survived by her loving daughter, Julia (Landrigan) Lynch of Laurel, MD and her adoring grandchildren Ryan and Sara, also of Laurel, MD; brother Michael Hall and his wife Anne of Lubbock, TX; niece Michelle McCarthy and her husband Tom, and their children Matthew and Kathleen of Langley, VA; niece Bridget Petty and her husband Aaron of Corinth, TX; half-brother Gary Hall, his wife Maura, and their children Patrick and Brian of Saratoga Springs; and lifelong friend Anna DellaRocca of Colonie.
Janice most enjoyed her early childhood days spent with extended family in Nassau and her fun-filled youth in Albany during the 1950s and 1960s. She graduated from Albany High School in 1956 and earned an Associates Degree from Maria College in 1984. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Bank of New York in Albany, for New Hampshire Insurance in Albany, and most recently for St. Peter's Hospital where she received an Award of Excellence in 2000. She cherished becoming and being a grandmother and the good times spent with her many, many friends from the Bank of New York, St. Peter's Hospital, her card group, and Central Square Park.
She was an avid reader, always knitting when she was not needle pointing, and had extensively researched her family genealogy. She loved to dance "back in the day," preferred the beach to most anywhere else, and enjoyed playing cards, attending plays and live performances. She will always be remembered for her courage, incredible determination and warm, easy way despite her debilitating challenges with Scleroderma and Pulmonary Hypertension.
