Janice M. Siek

Janice M. Siek, 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late James C. and Pearl L. McFaddin. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Malone New York. She attended Oswego College and Potsdam State Teachers College. She was employed by the New York State Department of Labor as a Claims Examiner for many years.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert F. Siek, her brother William McFaddin and brother-in-law Richard Siek.

Janice is survived by her loving daughters Shelley (Jim) Levin Ferro and Wendy Siek, grandchildren Kristin (Alan Astrom), Mandy and Grady, her sister-in-laws, Kathleen (Ed) Quirk, Diane Brunelle and Noreen McFaddin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society Attn: Development Dept., 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204-2718 in memory of Janice.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 9:00 am at St. Clare's Catholic Church,1947 Central Ave., Colonie NY. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 8 to 9 at Church. Interment will be private.
