Janice Faye Rowell, 68, early morning on New Year's Day 2023, our dear beloved Janice Faye Rowell transitioned from labor to reward.
Born in Memphis, TN she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Ruth Mae Rowell.

At an early age, Janice became a member of the Sojourner Truth AME Zion Church. She later joined the First Church in Albany. Janice wasn't ashamed of her strong faith. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the glue that kept our family together and was affectionately adored by all. She attended Memphis, TN and Albany NY public school systems. Janice was employed with GHI Insurance Company for over 20 years before her illness.

Janice is survived by her siblings, brother Steven Rowell Sr. (Mary) of Niskayuna NY; sisters, Samantha Faye Rowell of East Greenbush NY and Theresa Rowell-Collins (Archie) of Barstow CA.; nieces, Dawn Durr, Akira Rowell-White (Richard), Olivia Rowell, Marla Chestnut, Javoni Williams; nephews, Corey Johnson Sr. (Rekeya), Jamil Hood Sr. (Rhonda), Kareem Hood, Shawn Johnson Sr. (Robin), Jehnon Hood Sr., and Steven Rowell Jr.; great niece and buddy Cedira Hood; first cousins/bonus sisters, Emma Jenkins, Mickey Miller, and Ann Hines. Janice also is survived by a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Janice was also predeceased by her brother Lloyd Johnson Sr.; sister Linda Faye Davis; sister-in-law Betty L. Johnson; niece Tabatha Rowell; nephews Lloyd Johnson Jr. and Brian Durr; and a host of many special loved ones who will be greeting her upon her entrance into Heaven.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals,
