COLONIE - Janine D. Lewtschenko, 42, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure.
Janine was born on February 15, 1969 in Albany and is the daughter of Jean V. Lewtschenko and the late Yura Lewtschenko. She was a 1987 graduate of Colonie High School and attended Junior College of Albany. She enjoyed creative writing, cooking and spending time with her son.
Janine is survived by her son, Andrew Bollacker; her mother, Jean V. Lewtschenko; her brother, Mark Lewtschenko; her niece, Saylor Lewtschenko; her nephew, Chance Lewtschenko and her grandmother, Emma Volk.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
Memorial contribution may be made to Northeast Kidney Foundation, 99 Troy Road, Suite 200, East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Janine D. Lewtschenko.
