Glenmont--Janis Wilson France was granted her Angel Wings on October 15th, 2011. She entered the Presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with whom she will spend eternity. All who believe in Him will see her again. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Janis had blessed in big and small ways throughout her very memorable life.
Janis' life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her tender, caring heart, bright smile and most importantly her love for God and sharing Him with others brought so much joy and encouragement to her family and friends. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.
She loved spending time with her family and friends as well as cooking, gardening, traveling, music, and the ocean.
Janis is survived by her loving husband John; her parents Mack and Margaret Carrico Wilson; brother Jonathan Carrico Wilson, ESQ, and his wife Cathy; and brother Dr. Michael Joseph Wilson.
She is also survived by her niece Katelyn Wilson and nephew Scott Wilson, as well as all of her brothers and sisters in Christ and wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Janis' life will be held Saturday, October 22 at 11:00am at the Bethlehem Community Church, 201 Elm Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bethlehem Community Church.
