Jay Mcclure

d. June 13, 2010

ALBANY - Jay McClure passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday June 13, 2010.
He was born in Ashland, Ohio and spent most of his life in the Albany area, graduating from Guilderland High School in 1971.
Jay was a kind and gentle man with a sweet spirit, a giving nature and a warm smile. He lived simply and made friends easily. Jay was known for the trademark colorful bandanas he wore on his head. He worked for many years as a cab driver for Capitaland Taxi. He enjoyed blues music, fishing, playing Jeopardy, and a good steak dinner.
He is survived by his brothers, Michael J. McClure of West Seneca, NY and Thomas Scott McClure of Neptune Beach, FL; his sister Molly M. Anthony of Niskayuna. The family would like to thank Pastor Scott DeBlock for all of his kindness and support.
A memorial service will be held for Jay at the Niskayuna Reformed Church on Monday, June 21st. Calling hours are at 4pm with a brief service at 5pm.
Memorial Contributions may be made on Jay's behalf to the Niskayuna Reformed Church, 3041 Troy Schenectady Rd., Niskayuna, NY 12309. To leave a special message for the family online, visit NewcomerAlbany.com
