Jayne B. Jackson

Jayne B. Jackson, 91, previously of Highland Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Riverside Nursing Home.

Jayne was the daughter of the late Edward and Lydia (White-Peterson) Berrian. She was predeceased by her husband and best friend since the age of 4, LeRoy Arlington Jackson. She was also predeceased by her brother Jon Berrian and by Arlington LaMont Jackson, Jr.

Jayne is survived by her daughter, Claudia Jackson of Albany, NY and her son Paul E. (Laura) Jackson of Washingtonville, NY. She is the cherished grandmother of Paul E. (Melody) Jackson Jr. of Washingtonville and great grandmother of Naphtali and Nazareth McNair of Walden, NY.

Jayne was a Jehovah's Witness since 1958 with the Cornwall and Haverstraw Congregation for most of the time. She devoted herself to teaching others; she loved to play the piano, baking, crochet and knitting. Once she embraced you as a friend you were a friend forever and her house was always open to friends and strangers. Jayne loved and adored her children and she always put them first.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Riverside Nursing home, especially Jayne's nurse's aide No Young Wilcox for all of the care and compassion given to Jayne.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
