Jean A. Corcoran

DELMAR – Jean A. Corcoran, 94, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Englewood, NJ she was the daughter of the late John and Delia Hobens. Jean grew up in Englewood, NJ and worked for W. T. Grant. She was a member of the Delmar Progress Club and a long-time volunteer at Albany Medical Center Hospital. She enjoyed bowling at Del Lane's in the woman's league for many years, golfing at Normanside Country Club and traveling and spending time at the Jersey Shore. Jean was also a Girl Scout leader for many years.


Jean is the beloved wife of fifty-seven years to Edward J. Corcoran. She is the devoted mother of Donna C. (Gregory) Leather of Camden, ME and Susan Corcoran of Delmar. Jean is the cherished grandmother of Kathleen (Tom) Engle of Brookline, NH, Stephen Leather of Camden, ME and Fiona Leather of Camden, ME and the loving great-grandmother of Graham and Simon Engle.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Delmar. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
