Clifton Park- Jean Baker of Clifton Park, NY, formerly of Wilmington, NY, passed away on March 18th surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Troy, NY, on August 8, 1938 the daughter of Audley and Mary Rawlin. Jean was the loving wife of the late David Baker and was the mother of four children: Mary Beth (the late Patrick) Pulver of Valatie, NY, Kate Baker of Clifton Park, NY, David (Yuliya) Baker, Jr. of Clifton Park, NY, and Michael (Mary) Baker of Tupper Lake, NY; proud grandmother of Emily Pulver, Alexandra "Sasha" Baker, and Christopher Baker.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, David; her sister Margaret "Peggy" (Peter) Zoretich; and her son-in-law Patrick Pulver.
Jean was a graduate of Russell Sage College with a degree in accounting and worked as an accountant for over 30 years. In addition to their professional careers, Jean and David were also serial entrepreneurs operating three businesses over the course of their lives including the Ledge Rock at Whiteface which they operated for 23 years alongside their children. She was a member of the Whiteface Regional Chamber of Commerce for 23 years where she also served as a member of their board and was president for several years. Jean retired to Clifton Park in 2016. She was a communicant at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 25, 2022 at St. Edward the Confessor, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065 at 10am immediately followed by burial at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309. The Reverend Patrick Butler will officiate.
