SCHODACK- Jean DeRusso Nedeau, 72, of Schodack, formerly of West Albany, passed away Saturday June 7, 2008 at St. Peters Hospital. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late John and Loretta Doyle DeRusso.
Jean was a resident of West Albany for over 50 years. She was a clerk with the New York Office of the Comptroller in Albany for over 20 years, retiring in 2003. Jean enjoyed bowling and cooking for her family.
She is the beloved wife of 52 years to Donald K. Nedeau Sr. She is the devoted mother of Donna Hatfield (Harold), Donald K. Nedeau Jr. and Monique Kirkpatrick (Dennis). Jean is the sister of Dolores Kelly (late George), her twin sister Joan Leveroni, Kathleen Huston (John), Jack DeRusso and Sally Mangan. She is the cherished grandmother of Donna and Michael Hatfield, Donald K. Nedeau III, Kristy and Dennis Kirkpatrick. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:15 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Francis de Sales Church, Loudonville at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
