Jean Grace Zacharkevics
July 16, 1937 — January 29, 2016
Guilderland Center - Jean G. Zacharkevics , 78, passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on Friday, January 29th, 2016. Jean was the daughter of the late Worthington and Mildred Cody and was the devoted wife to Marijan Zacharkevics. They were married for 57 years.
Jean enjoyed her family, especially raising her daughters and spending time with her grandsons.
She will forever be missed by her devoted husband Marijan; two daughters: Lori and Lisa (Joe); two grandsons: Eric (Chelsea) and Ryan (Kali) Long; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her sister: Mildred Mooney.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 1st, 2016, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY. The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at the funeral home on Monday, February 1st, 2016 4:30 pm for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. The funeral service will be held the following morning at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 at Christ The King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Albany, NY 12203, with the burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jean's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
