Jean M. McAuliffe

Jean McAuliffe, 71, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025. Jean was born in Albany to John (II) and Joan McAuliffe. She is predeceased by her brother John McAuliffe (III), sister Joanne Ziegler (Bill Sr.) and her dog 'Sugar'. Jean is survived by her two sons Michael Craft and Sean McAuliffe. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Meghan, Shantavia, Sean Jr. and Deandra; as well as her brother Joseph McAuliffe ( Nancy), sister Jackie O'Connell and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very dearly.

 Growing up in the old North Albany area, Jean became the first Miss Limerick of the Albany St. Patrick's Day Parade and always remained a member of the North Albany Limericks. Some things she enjoyed were fishing birdwatching and gardening. Jean McAuliffe, (Mom, Grandma, Mama Jean, Jeannie) was a beautiful soul that was very loved and will be missed by all who knew her. 

 Calling hours will be held on February 16, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 33 Walter Street, Albany, NY 12204. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. All are welcome to attend.
