June 8, 1929 — February 10, 2023
Jean F. McRae, 93, daughter to the late Clarence C. and Ruth A. (Hopkins) McRae, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023.
Jean graduated from Albany Business School, worked for many years at A&P, and later retired as Office Manager at Certified Allergy of Albany NY.
She loved Mah-jongg, doing puzzles, and playing solitaire. Jean would often be found watching and rooting for her beloved NY Yankees.
She is survived by her brother Gordon H. McRae, her niece Clarisa J. McRae, two nephews Robert (Carol) L. McRae, Jeffrey Taylor; her great nephew Michael McRae and great niece Megan (Chris) McRae Beauchemi; her great-great niece Eliza Beauchemin. Jean will also be missed by her dear friend Janet Van Ornam, and Beth Van Ornam who was like a daughter to her.
In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her older sister Phyllis Taylor.
Jean's final resting place will be in the family plot at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. There will be no services.
