COLONIE – Jean M. Scalisi, 74, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at the Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie, surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born on February 17, 1931 in Cohoes to the late Conrad and Blanche Bouchard DeMers.
Jean was trained as a child care technician prior to her marriage. She worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Antonio Farol in Albany for many years until retiring in 1975. She then worked as a secretary at Legal Aid until the early 1980's.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Linda J. (Stanley) Murawski of No. Chatham, and Deborah A. (David) Cornicelli of Rotterdam and her beloved grandsons, David and Daniel Cornicelli. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip J. Scalisi, he died in 1997.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 8:15 from the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-South of Central Ave.) then to The Church of St. Clare in Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Jean M. Scalisi.
