Jean Schillinger, 89 passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 27, 1935, in Brooklyn NY, She was the daughter of the late John and Ella (MacLaren) Turnbull.
Jean was retired from the University of SUNY Albany. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She loved going to the casino’s, playing cards, traveling with her beloved John. She enjoyed girls night with Carol and Denise.
We cannot forget the love she had for cake. She will truly be missed by her Amazon parrot Bonnie.
Jean is survived by her loving children John (Sue) Schillinger Jr., Edward (Tracy) Schillinger, Diane (Dan) Corbett, and Cathy (George) Schillinger-Magony; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years John Schillinger; two daughters Patricia Hauf and Nancy Schillinger also her grandson Justin Schillinger.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Jean’s memory to the Food Pantries for the Capital District.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. Interment will be private.
