COLONIE – Jean Shirley Manogue, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Unity Hospital in Rochester.
Jean was born on October 21, 1930 in Saratoga Springs and was the daughter of the late Wilder and Rose (Sundler) Nichols and wife of the late Edward C. Manogue. She was a 1948 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. In her early years, she worked for the Saratogian Newspaper and she was retired after 23 years from NYS DMV Safety and Hearing Bureau. She was a past member of the Colonie Village Senior Citizens and a member of St. Clare's Church in Colonie.
Jean is survived by her loving daughters, Susan M. Donk (James) and Michele A. LaDue (Richard); her three cherished grandchildren, Christine Donk (Peter Reinelt), Sierra LaDue and Lydia LaDue; her two cherished great-grandchildren, Cameron and Lilliana Reinelt.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ballston Spa. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
