ALTAMONT- Jean Southwood, age 70, passed away on July 8, 2023.
She was born in Auburn, NY, the daughter of the late Roger and Madeline Karker.
Jean graduated from Guilderland Central School and furthered her education at Hudson Valley Community College, Plattsburgh State and Albany Junior College for Nursing.
She was a nursing supervisor at St. Clare's Hospital in the ICU and Emergency Room for 29 years and Ellis Hospital for 5 years.
Jean is survived by her sons: Ryan (Courtney) Southwood, Adam (Maria) Southwood and Jason (Rebecca) Southwood; sister, Joan Bratt (Eric); brother, George Karker (Gretta) and Roger Karker (Carol); nephews: Jeremy (Jennifer) Bratt and Josh Bratt; nieces: Victoria and Alexandra Karker and three grandchildren: Remington Southwood, Sophia Southwood and Madeline Southwood.
At Jean's request, no services will be held.
