Jean V. Chur
August 15, 1926 — March 19, 2015
COLONIE – Jean V. Chur, 88, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Eddy Heritage House in Troy. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret McCarrick.
Jean worked for New York State Audit and Control for 20 years. She enjoyed doing crafts and painting.
Along with her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband, Schuyler "Scotty" Chur; sister Joan Amsler, and two grandchildren.
She will be missed by her daughters Kathleen Chur, JoAnn Mccue and Jill Chur; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
