Albany – Jean Aviza, 91, passed from this world Sunday encircled by her beautiful family that she nurtured for 91 yrs on this earth. It was her privilege and honor to dedicate her life's mission to her children, grandchildren, and to those who had the privilege of meeting her. Everyone who met Jean said exactly the same thing about her, "We love your mother." Through this loving, compassionate and unselfish nature revealed her inner beauty. She earned a master's in motherhood and bestowed many everlasting gifts on her family and friends.
She is the daughter of the late Mary Sheehan and the late William Atchinson; sister of the late William Atchinson Jr, Marjorie Synder and Alfred Atchinson; wife of the late Paul W. Aviza and faithful companion of the late Francis (Happy) McTague; mother of Paul (Sue dec.) of Long Island, James (Beth) of Guilderland, Michael (Eileen) of Guilderland and Marri (Robert) of Loudonville; also survived by her grandchildren Jaclyn, Kathryn, Skylar (Daniel Jason), Michelle (Stephen Valente), McKenzie, Kimberly, Chloe, Spencer, Simi and Zoe.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church in Loudonville, NY at 12:00pm on Saturday.
