Jeane Gerard

Jeane A. McCoy Gerard 58 of Hoosick Road, Troy passed away Thursday February 17, 2011 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Born in Troy on September 1, 1952, she was the daughter of Beatrice Houlihan McCoy and the late Earl J. McCoy. Jeane was employed by NYS Comptroller's Office for 31 years, retiring in 2010. Survivors in addition to her mother include her children Christopher K. Smith , Anthony J. Smith and Michael N. Hayner of Troy. Two grandsons , Gabriel and Darin Smith a sister Anne M. Donlon of Troy, two brothers Joseph E. McCoy and Thomas F. McCoy. She is predeceased by a brother, John T. McCoy. There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Church, on the corner of North Lake Ave. and Marshland Court, Troy. A reception to follow at Knights of Columbus, Rt. 2 Latham, where Jeane requests her family and friends gather to celebrate her life. We ask that you share memories, stories and pictures of Jeane.
