Jeanette B. Cassin

COLONIE – Jeanette B. Cassin, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Schenectady, she was one of nine children of the late Pasquello and Nancy (Marino) Madonna. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Schenectady, NY. Jeanette was a devoted wife and loving mother, raising four children. She enjoyed spending time in Boynton Beach, FL for many years with her late husband, Ron and enjoyed knitting, sewing, needlepoint, dancing and playing games with her family and friends.

Jeanette was the loving mother of Karen (Hugh F.) Casper of Ballston Lake, Ronald (Sue) Cassin of Rexford, Fred J. (Jennifer) Cassin of Colonie and Michael P. (Karen) Cassin of San Jose, CA. She is the cherished grandmother of Matthew (Terri) Casper, Stefanie Casper, Nicholas and Kayla Cassin, William and Emily Cassin and Sophia Cassin. Also surviving is her niece, Dorothy Razzano as well as many other nieces, nephews and many dear special friends. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, E. Ronald Cassin.

A calling hour will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
